It’s been a busy day inside this head. There has been a lot of editing, revising, and submitting going on. I’ve talked to a publisher friend about some PR idea, and I’ve even put a few words on paper.
Nowhere near as many as I should have, mind you… but at least a few are better than none.
I’ve spent most of the afternoon trying to decide (1) if I want another tattoo, (2) what it will be, and (3) where.
I want one. I just don’t know what. And it has to be mostly out of sight because for the time being I still have a day job. Which sucks a big, fat, hairy one.
Right now I’ve whittled it down to two ideas, one just as geeky as the next. I either want a stylized version of Yggdrasil (if you know what it is, give yourself a cookie) OR a very specific image of Destiny from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comics. The funeral procession in the sky – you know that scene? It’s the image of him in the sky, leading the procession with the book in his hands. I’ve always love that picture, and have always felt a particular affinity for him.
I’m leaning more towards Destiny simply because I know the image well. I like the idea of having Yggdrasil, but I can’t seem to find a version I like. Of course, what I’m looking for is likely so stylized that it would have to be custom-drawn.
Eh. I can decide later. But for those curious enough, the image below is what I described earlier.
